Kyshtym Refractory Plant

It is one of the oldest plants in Russia engaged in manufacturing of refractory materials, and its history starts in the middle of 18-th century from a small plant on the banks of Nizhne-Kyshtuimsky lake, where the manufacturing of semiacid and dinas articles for the needs of Kyschtym iron manufacturing plants was established. For the long history of its work this plant changed greatly. Certain steps for technological improvement and equipment replacement were undertaken. Volume of production of refractories tripled. The range of products was widened due to development of new types of small size, shaped products. At present this plant manufactures the products of ordinary sizes, shaped products of intricate and super intricate configuration, small size articles, shapes for syphon teeming of steel, for assay of raw materials, containing precious metals. Products of this plant is used in machine-building, power, metallurgical, oil processing, chemical and other industries and is delivered towards the plants of Urals, Siberia, the Far East, European part of Russia and also to such states of CIS as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and some others.
